My mom had given me new running shorts and a top.
Andy pulls from behind his back the same shorts with a sad look on his face.

I told him it was ok and I could trade them for a different color.
Then, he pulled out matching running shoes! They were A-dorable and he did SUCH a
Great job picking them out. Just what I needed. I couldn't have been more delighted.

Friday night, Andy took me to dinner at our favorite restaurant in Atlanta, Oceanaire. I told him that ALL I wanted for my bday was to dress up and go to dinner somewhere. Dinner was LOVELY and yummy. Mr.Broome even shared a HUGE ice cream topped brownie with me. He never indulges in sweets.

My co-workers and friends made my bday so special too. Turning 24 is still a big day when you have wonderful friends and family like I do. Dawn, Anita, Susu, and the rest of my co-workers took me to lunch Friday. Jaime and Amy invited me to shop with them Saturday just so they could get an idea of what I would like for my bday.
I'll tell you what though. Its not one darn bit about what someone "gets" for you. Its about the thought they put into it. The sweetness in a friend going out of their way just to think of how to make me feel special.
24 was a great birthday. A great reminder that I am loved, and I am really thankful for that.
